Alright, I’m not gonna lie to you. I’m finally writing this post because I have an hour and a half left on this flight to the west coast and I’m pretty bored.
We get a whole lot of “what’ve yall been doing lately”?
Now, I’m assuming what people really want to know is “have you done anything interesting lately”?
Yes. We have. Here’s the rundown:
First and foremost, for those of you that weren’t in the know, Anna and her husband Jason had a new baby boy. His name is Finn and he’s pretty dang cute. He showed up in September and Anna took some time to bring him into the world but now she’s back in the game and running and gunning per usual!
Then, for the past 6 months we’ve been working on our first physical product. We’ve gone through several iterations and have been testing them at home and in the studio. This has been really fun and we can’t wait to launch soon! Keep an eye on the social media stuff cause we’ll be bragging about it and whatnot.
Next up, we have a big network of folks that are working with us this year! We’ve asked 6 people to join the stoke.d team (in a more intentional experiment) to design and deliver life changing learning experiences, work with teams on projects, and bring new ideas to life. This is super cool and we couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful to work with such pros.
The next thing to catch you up on is our studio. Some of you know that we opened a design studio in Nashville as a means of experimenting with space and collaborative behaviors and that’s been pretty rad! We’ve had a ton of teams come in to do work, both with us and on their own. We’ve learned a bunch of cool lessons and have really evolved several teachings. There are a few companies that have been camping out on a monthly basis to work on projects and it’s been eye opening to watch them jam on their work and really evolve their internal capacity to practice design thinking.
Lastly, we’re starting another year coaching executive education at the d.school next month. This is always a highlight of our year since we get to hang with good friends, spend time with our mentors, and see how the content is evolving for the exec ed team. They always keep us on our toes.
